Here I remember the quote of Shekh Farid, one of the sufi saint in India. He was deeply attached to the common folk and could understand their plight very well. Comments upon leading the ordinary life and a spiritual bent of mind, he says -
"Houses, Mansions and Balconies - never attach your curiousness to these. In other words, he says when these collapse into heaps of dust, none of them shall be our friends.
Let us be very simple and think great taking small small initiative for the well being of society at large.
